Story
John passed away on 4th August 2020 at home aged 75 years.
He has no one to arrange his funeral and this is now being done by the Nottingham City Council at public expense.
John was a quiet courteous gentleman and was a member of the Nottingham Unitarian Church. He was a member of the Liberal Democrat party and stood in every local election from 1987 to 2019. In addition he was a director at the New Mechanics in the City Centre. He played chess and attended the Hastings Congress every year. He assisted the Nottingham Athletic Club and acted as a marshal at events at Harvey Haddon Stadium.
We hope that anyone who knew John might help with this appeal.

4 years agoJohn's funeral is at Wilford Hill Crematorium on Thursday 19th November at 4.00pm. There is a limit under the COVID regulations of 30 mourners. John was a valued member of Nottingham Mechanics. As a Council Member he was well informed and always supportive. His contribution will be missed.
