Story
The cover photo is from only 8 years ago. Matt’s condition has progressed rapidly to where he no longer has reliable use of his hands and on a bad day he struggles to feed himself. We have trialled a Neater Eater feeding device and it is brilliant BUT we have been unable to source funding anywhere. The Council will fund extra Carer visits to feed matt at a cost way in excess of the device but won’t help cover the purchase. Please help Matt get this device and keep some independence. His Carers are all friendly, helpful people and Matt looks forward to his twice daily visits but we want, and need as a family, to have mealtimes on our own.

13 days agoAs a family we all want to say thankyou to everyone who has helped. Matt should have the feeder by Christmas and it will make a BIG difference. He seems to be having bit of a relapse (common with MS) at the moment so this will come just in time. XX

2 months agoAnd, not related to this campaign .......... but the latest device we are about to start using is an Alexa controlled auto bottle emptying system. This maintains a bit more independence for Matt and reduces the number of times he has to call "Dad, can you come and ....... ". I will have this installed and working by the weekend and will put a video on Matt's web page as linked in the original post here.

2 months agoFirstly, many, many thanks to everyone who has helped Matt so far. WE are very grateful X I have secured some funding outside of the Just Giving campaign so I am going to reduce the target figure to reflect that. Matt has requested a new quote from Neater Eater just to keep everything updated. The price has not changed (£7017 with 0% VAT as Matt is eligible for that). thanks again Iain, Ros and Matt
