Story

Natureland needs your help!

Skegness Natureland Seal Sanctuary is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing orphaned and injured baby seals, and has successfully rehabilitated over 1000 pups since opening in 1965. Each seal that Natureland rescues costs approximately £2000 to fully rehabilitate, covering all the medication, fish, and intensive care needed, and with the number of seals being rescued increasing every year (between 60-70 each year at present), along with the increasing cost of living, it is a very costly endeavour.

What’s more, the Natureland rescue van has decided to break beyond repair, meaning rescues have become even harder, and the team are having to use personal cars as a result, which are not equip for seal rescues!

As Natureland does not receive any exterior grants or funding from the government, council, or other sources, it relies purely on visitors to the site and their kind donations to continue the rescue work that we do. Any donation, no matter the amount, is vastly appreciated by the Yeadon family and all of Natureland's dedicated staff, so if you can help, please do so, and we can ensure that every pup gets a second chance at life in the wild.

This JustGiving page is to raise money for a year’s worth of rescue work for Skegness Natureland. We appreciate that this is a massive goal, but every penny counts when working with these beautiful creatures and getting them back to their natural habitat.

An additional £10,000 has been added to the £120,000 needed for rescue work, to go towards purchasing a brand new rescue van for the team. The van is one of the most critical parts of the rescue process, as it allows us to get to the pups needing our help, and transport them to our Seal Hospital.

Thank you so much for your support!
