Story
At the end of last week a devastating hurricane hit the Colombian Caribbean Archipelago of San Andres and Providencia. Massive areas have been left absolutely destroyed. Families have lost loved ones and homes have been completely flattened. I have friends and family here who are suffering and I'm going to donate some money to help. I know times are hard with covid and many people are struggling to survive all over the world. But if you do have a couple of quid to spare that could help provide much needed resources to people, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Just for reference. 30 huggies nappies cost around 4 quid.
Pack of 10 Sanitary towels 60p
Pack of baby wipes £1.20
Money goes a lot further here so every pound can help.
Update on what has been bought so far from approximately 8000000 COP raised.
140000 on water.
400000 towards a bulk delivery of roofing materials.
272000 on nappies, sanitary towels, toilet paper, baby wipes etc for a shelter in San Andres.
1000000 on blankets and bedding for Providencia.
319000 on pots, pans, jars and disinfectant alcohol for one shelter in San Andres.
2000000 to help towards rebuilding my friends house and business.
We have so much more to do though.
