MENORCA NEEDS YOU!

Our aim is to generate funds to purchase food for the hundreds of families in Menorca that due to the COVID-19 have now been left without jobs and therefore are now unable to feed their families and small children.

The group started in March to assist elderly people and people at high risk to do their shopping and anything else needed as Spain was in total lockdown.

Menorca is a ver small island, in the med that depends 100% on tourism. Everything has to be imported and that means that basic everyday essentials are expensive.

The group rapidly grew to just over 2300 people and unfortunately we found there to be a very large demand of people contacting us and begging for help with food.

We joined forces with the local Red Cross, Caritas and Mahon townhall to try and assist the families in need. In the last 10 days the number of families in need has more than doubled.

Please, we need your help from a far to make sure no one goes hungry. Every little helps!

All funds spent will be accounted for and receipts of food and photographs of the food being delivered will be published so everyone can see what we have achieved.
