LABOUR AT THE LAST MILE: A JOURNEY OF HOPE FOR MOTHERS IN ETHIOPIA

In the heart of Amhara region, a powerful story unfolds—a story of resilience, hope, and unwavering dedication to improving the lives of mothers and their families. The Labour at the Last Mile project, a partnership initially between UK-based CIO SafeHands and Ethiopian-registered Community Based Organisation (CBO) Ayzosh, is a testament to the transformative power of collaboration and community. By fostering community engagement, encouraging safe motherhood practices, and supporting the work of the invaluable Maternity Waiting Homes, the project is transforming the lives of women, one safe birth at a time.
