Education for All: Empowering Children in Karachi
Nestled in Shireen Jinnah Colony, an urban slum in Karachi, Nadia House is more than just a school; it's a beacon of hope for 25 children aged 5-11. These children, often overlooked by society, come from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds. At Nadia House, we provide them with a holistic education that not only nurtures their academic growth but also their personal development.
Nurturing Dreams, One Child at a Time
We believe in the power of inclusive education. At Nadia House, we offer:
- Core Subjects: English, Maths, and Technology to lay a strong educational foundation.
- Creative Learning: Through play, arts, crafts, and physical exercise, we stimulate creativity and physical well-being.
- Technology first learning: We believe Technology is the great equalizer and ensure that these children know how to wield its power.
- Life Skills: Teaching hygiene and manners to help children become well-rounded individuals.
- Nutrition: Providing daily meals to ensure no child goes home hungry.
Empowering Families:
Our mission extends beyond the classroom. We actively involve and support the mothers of our students by:
- Parental Support: Educating mothers so they can reinforce learning at home.
- Empowerment Programs: Helping mothers gain employable skills, fostering economic independence and stronger communities.
In Loving Memory of Nadia
I named Nadia House after my late mom, whose legacy continues to inspire all of us. A beloved mother and teacher, her dedication to her students was unwavering, instilling confidence and encouraging them to dream big. We are committed to carrying forward her vision by providing a nurturing and inclusive education to every child we serve.
