Mohammed is three year old. He lives in Sudan. He had jaundice when he was young which was untreated and resulted in Kernicterus, a form of brain damage that affects development. Some effort is made now to help with his mobility and development. Only few weeks ago he was found to have hearing impairment which has been the reason of his delayed speech. He has been prescribed hearing aid which costs around £300 but his family can not afford.
I met Mohammed in September and it was moving to see him smiling to the camera despite all.
