How it started

We need your help in order to preserve Mount Florida Bowling Green as a community asset for this and future generations. Built in 1909 and gifted to the club, the space has been enjoyed by many generations. The club is now due to close in October and may be turned into flats. Local residents tried to help, however when that was refused we set up Mount Florida Community Trust in order to do this. We are passionate about this green space being preserved for the benefit and enjoyment of all the community and to be utillsed in the best manner by the community for the community. In order to continue campaigning we need to raise funds and we have faced quite a few expenses in setting up the trust, as well as other expenses such as printing posters and leaflets etc. We are therefore asking for financial support from the community - if you could contribute to the Trust it would greatly assist our aims.
