Our Library has been housed in the brand new Moulton Community Centre for ten months now. We are welcoming more and more customers every day and reaching a broader range of our local community, especially those most vulnerable. We are also hosting more events and activities, many of which wouldn't be possible without the financial (and hands-on) support of our Friends Group. In recent months, we have been unsure about the future of Moulton Library due to budget proposals put forward by the local authority. As I staff member I have had to avoid commenting on the proposals and abstain from protests and meetings held by local groups, which has been frustrating at times. In order to support the Friends Group in this current climate, I decided to book myself a place on the Paris Marathon and raise some money for the group through sponsorship. Please dig deep; I have seen first hand the amazing work the Friends Group does in our community and will continue to do in the future with your support. This will be my first marathon so any top tips will be welcomed!!
