When we started at the end of March 2020 we wanted to help our local community during this unprecedented crisis. With your generous support we have been able to do that and will continue to do so. (see press reports lower down on the page.
The T-Exchange (Moray Firth Makerspace) have been making and delivering thousands of potentially life-saving 3d printed face visors, face mask relief straps and door dongles for local health centres and other facilities. Locations have included every Medical Centres, Care Homes, Pharmacies, Very/Sheltered Housing, Home Carers, Schools, Childcare Hubs and other facilities in Moray.
Since the project started nearly six months ago we have delivered over 3500 visors to 150 locations across Moray. In addition they have delivered over 1250 single-use visors, over 2000 face mask relief straps (fits behind the head and takes mask elastic away from your ears) and 180 door dongles (fits in the hand and allows the user to avoid touching door handles, cash points etc...).
