A sponsored silence to raise funds for my totally brilliant friend.

He is 11 years old and has been my friend since the day I was born. Both him and his younger brother are just like brothers to me; we have so many happy memories together and I love them both so much.

In January this year, my 11-year-old friend was diagnosed with a brain tumour and is currently undergoing treatment in Southampton. The next few months are going to be tough and sad for him. I wanted to do something for him, so that he can have some fun during his treatment.

With having two younger siblings, and me and my sister around a lot, he needs to get some peace and quiet from us all. Ideally, he needs his own space to recover from the chemo sessions he has, which totally wipes him out.

We watch CBBC together a lot, and we all love the Dengineers programme, he really could do with a den of his own in his back garden to get the peace and quiet he needs.

There’s so much more I could tell you about my fabulous friend, but for now his family would like to keep things private and maintain as much normality as they can for him and his siblings.

I am going to raise as much as I can to put towards the den. My mummy suggested a 24-hour sponsored silence because she thought that would be a huge challenge for me, and, I am extremely excited to prove her wrong! Can you help me?
