We are a charity to help combat loneliness and isolation especially in older people. We're based in Anlaby, East Yorkshire and we are open to men and women from all the surrounding villages. We want to provide a place to meet and enjoy a chat over a mug of tea and where people can work in a workshop making or repairing things if they want to. Covid means we can't meet now but we still have running costs. We need to cover our running costs and some setup costs so that as soon as Covid restrictions allow we can meet up again. Isolation and loneliness are a serious problem for some older people and we aim to create a friendly place to help overcome this, partly through tinkering with tools.
