Story

I will be 82 years old on Tuesday 1st June.

I wear a spinal brace, from a car accident in july 2019. I suffer from Fibromyalgia, affecting my back neck and hips. I also have Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis. I also suffer from IBS and from childhood post traumatic stress. however i believe in being active and pushing myself

in 2003 i pushed my husband in his wheelchair along the then 54 piers of england and wales raising money for the British lung foundation. this was dubbed 'Our Pierathon' . When i was 75, I abseiled down the southend hospital tower block, raising money for Southbourne Ward. This year i have decided to raise money the three hospitals that have supported my health throughout

Northwick Park Hospital - in respect of Mr Stuart Gould - Clinical Lead of general surgeon, and my IBS Consultant.

St Marks Psychological Medicine Unit, St Marks Hosptial, Harrow - in respect of Dr Yoram Inspector - Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist - regarding my PTSD and Mental Health.

Southend University Hospital, Southend on sea - who look after my body when i need to call on them

I am also a Care Car driver for Southend Hospital, taking patients to their many various hospital and clinic appointments.

This year on my birthday, I intend (covid Restrictions allowing) to commence walking the equivalent mileage from Southend Hospital to Northwick Park and St Marks Hospital. According to Google this amounts to 49 miles this is comparable to 40 times along Southend the longest pleasure pier in the world

I will be calling this my "Mind Body and Soulathon" i am not sure how long this will take, but will persevere `until completion
