I rescued Hope in 2015 from Spain's meatmarket where her future faced a very bleak and sad ending, she was just 3 years old!! I heard about her situation through a friend and was told that her sister had luckily found a home and it was just her left with a week left to find a home! So obviously hearing that I couldn't not do anything, specially as the crazy animal lover that I am, I knew that I wasn't going to walk away and this beautiful young horse had been passed from pillar to post before she found herself in a meatmarket with weeks left to live at just 3 years old......so of course i adopted her im not crazy and 4 weeks later she was in England!!

When she arrived she was this scrawny little youngester with no idea what was going to happen to her. I literally spent every single moment I could with her inbetween working full time still, to build up her trust and show her that she didn't need to worry anymore! well, let me tell you she has been nothing but an absolute dream and my life was never the same again. There is something different about caring and owning a rescue animal, the love and protective feeling you have over them is like nothing i have experienced before.

After a year and a half of getting used to her new lifestyle and realising not all humans are bad people she became this big loveable, what i can only describe as an overgrown dog.... she soon went and stayed at a friends riding school stables where she learnt to accept a rider and continue her development. She had a fantastic 4 years there learning and developing, however unfortunatly due to COVID and their future development plans they had to shut down, leaving me to find somewhere for Hope to 1)continue her development and 2) where she will thrive in a busy enviorment surrounded by people 24/7 getting all the fuss and treats that she loves so much!

This is where Squirrells Riding School stepped in, Hayley who owns the Riding School and her team have been AMAZING and literally saved the day by accepting Hope into their stables, so why am I raising money??? Hope needs to get her fitness and training back to where it should be, so is currently on a schooling contract for the next 4-5 weeks, at £200.00 per week this is hitting my bank balance quite hard as you can imagine but this covers her training and all her care (feed/wate/bedding/mucking out/feet trimming).

However, Squirrells Riding School also had to shut their doors due to COVID and have taken a huge hit to their financials, they do so much for their customers and have built an amazing community there so I would like to not only raise money for Hope but for the Riding School as well.

Everything we are able to Raise will be put straight into the School, covering Hope's training & care and help the school get back on it's feet!!
