Vandals set fire to our cricket pitch and covers last week in Millhouses Park, causing £2500 worth of damage in 2 minutes. A few years ago they set fire to our pavilion too. We didn't let vandals beat us last time and they won't beat us this time either.

Ours is a community cricket club. We have been around since 1860 and we run cheap cricket for kids up to 4 days of the week.

We think cricket matters. It is one of the few sports where adults play alongside juniors, giving young people the chance to learn key life skills. It is also one of the few sports where people from various religious backgrounds come together for fun, a rarity in our complex modern world.

To beat the vandals though we urgently need your help!

We need to fix our covers quickly - and make them vandal proof - so that we don't miss one game, or even one ball of cricket.

To do that we need to raise £2500 quickly.
