Story
Our HR Manager, Darren was fortunate to receive a kidney transplant in Glasgow a couple of weeks before lockdown started which was life-changing. Unfortunately he developed complications a few weeks in and had to be re-admitted to save his new kidney which, as a result of the COVID-19 disruption, ended up in a critical situation with a lot of distress for Darren and his family.
Thankfully great care and balancing drug treatments mean he's settled and back to normal now so as colleagues we wanted to give something back to the dedicated unit in Glasgow who've given him such fantastic treatment. We've been walking and exercising throughout lockdown so set ourselves a 500 mile challenge over a week which we achieved and is now edited into this short video (Darren bounces in at the end). We hope you enjoy it and can contribute a small amount towards this essential service.
