I'm raising £1500 to Support Warwickshire & Solihull BloodBikes, providing life-saving services to the NHS by delivering blood, medical supplies, baby milk etc.

I'm a volunteer with Warwickshire and Solihull Blood Bikes (WSBB); who support NHS hospitals, healthcare facilities, the National Blood Transfusion Centre and the Air Ambulance with urgent deliveries, whatever the weather!
When I hear stories from grateful people that WSBB have helped save a family member; sometimes an elderly relative with an urgent blood transfusion, a premature baby with milk, test samples to a test laboratory etc. it sure makes it real and all the more worthwhile!
We all know how vital the NHS is and sadly is facing many great pressures, such as a chronic shortage of beds. To help allieviate this, WSBB also transports chemotheraphy and other medical supplies direct to patients homes if they are well enough to leave hospital, so the hospital bed can be released for others. Every little bit helps!
To raise awareness, I'm planning to run the London Marathon in April 2025 dressed in a WSBB motorbike costume that I made at home.
It's expensive keeping the fleet running 365 days/year and WSBB are funded totally by donations. Your valuable contribution will help keep the bikes on the road safely and so help WSBB take a little bit of financial pressure off the NHS.
Here's a pic. of me on-duty in one of the hospitals:
And here's one of a group of us at Christmas, delivering presents donated by the good folk of Solihull and Warwickshire, to the sick kids in hospital. That has to be our favorite day of the year...when you see their little faces light up!
So thanks very much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I do hope you can help me a little bit, even with a £1 donation. And if not, at least give a friendly wave if you ever see a Blood Bike out on duty!
Be safe!
Mike
