Story

Barnaby Webber was a cherished and much-loved member of the Taunton school community, known for his kindness and love of life. He journeyed through the school from the Nursery all the way to the Upper Sixth before his tragic passing in June 2023. His loss continues to be deeply felt by all who knew him, prompting numerous requests for a fitting honour.

In the wake of personal losses, James Sheasby, a Year 7 student at TPS, demonstrated remarkable resilience and compassion. Having lost both of his grandparents, Grampa and Granny Dogee, to devastating diseases, James decided to take action. He courageously spoke in assembly and embarked upon a press-up challenge 100 press ups a day for 100 days- raising an impressive sum for Alzheimer's Research UK and Brain Tumour Trust.

Inspired by James’ initiative and the heartfelt loss of Barney Webber, the TPS community have rallied together to take on the Mighty Marathon, a 24-hour running challenge, hosted by Taunton Prep School.

Together, we aim to raise awareness and funds for causes close to our hearts.
