Story

Our wonderful, glamorous Nan AKA ‘Queen Margaret’, died peacefully at home on Saturday, 30th September, after a short illness, listening to Frank Sinatra, wearing her signature pearl headband and surrounded by her family.

The outstanding care and compassion she received from the Ty Cwm Care Team and the amazing District Nurses, made our Nan’s last few weeks so dignified and she was truly surrounded by love. We literally can’t fault them, as they went over and above anything we could have expected.

Anyone who ever met Nan will know what a truly amazing character she was! Always impeccably groomed, the life and soul of the party, loved sequins, loved holidays and going out, an event organiser extraordinaire, house proud, voice of an angel, comedienne, great cook, always a duster in her hand, feisty and warm hearted. We've all been lucky to have been along for the ride and it certainly was an exciting one!

We’ll update funeral arrangements in due course, but in lieu of flowers, we’d like to donate any monies to Ty Cwm Residential Care to benefit the amazing carers and residents.
