Story

On February 2nd 2020, Michael Groves sadly passed away and at the request of his close family and friends, they wish to raise funds for the British Automobile Racing Club's Marshals & Rescue Fund.

Born on April 9th 1931 in Richmond, Michael originally made a name for himself in business as a Chartered Surveyor; working across a spectrum of properties which included commercial and residential buildings, factories and offices.

In the realm of motorsport, Michael became a household name and enjoyed a 35-year association with the BARC.

Starting out as a marshal, Michael soon ascended the motor racing ranks and served as the Club's Chairman for three decades, leaving his post after being awarded the prestigious BARC Gold Medal in 2009.

Michael's family and friends would like to welcome donations to the Club's Marshal & Rescue Fund; which is responsible for ensuring those that marshal are trained to the highest level and armed with the best equipment.
