Story
Remembering Michael Ryan
Dear Friends,
We are all deeply saddened after the passing of my husband Michael Ryan on Thursday 25th July.
For many years he bravely fought Nasopharyngeal Cancer and the catastrophic disabilities brought on by the treatment including loss of ability to talk, walk, eat and ultimately breathe unaided.
Nasopharyngeal cancer is a head and neck cancer which is rare in the UK and much research is needed to improve the prognosis for its sufferers.
Therefore, I would like for Michael’s suffering to not be in vain and in lieu of sympathy flowers, kindly request donations to be made in support of Oracle Head and Neck Cancer UK.
It is a great comfort that Michael was able to spend his last months at home with his wife and children. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by loved ones. Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice provided invaluable support during this time. Donations will also be shared with the hospice.
Mike was a true gentleman, a wonderful husband and outstanding father. He fought hard to survive and have more time with his family. I will miss him greatly. He leaves behind his mother Anne, myself (Anushka), his children Martin (22), Aidan (9) and Arun (7).
Condolences may be left on the following link . Michael's funeral will take place in Milltown, Ireland and may be watched online. All details will be available on the same link.
