hi everyone , im looking for donations to help save our playing field ,after speaking to the groundsman jimmy livo , he told me that he has not had any contact with the trustees ,who run the charity that runs the field for several months now , hes not been paid for 9 months ,and that he‘ s no money for diesel , seeds for re seeding ,ground repairs and machine repairs , the saddest thing he told me , was that he had to take £3500 from the shop money , that the juniors use for fundraising ,all because he has not had any contact with the trustees.

jimmy goes up to the field everyday to tend to it and make sure everything is secure ,jimmy told me he does not care about the wages side , he just wants to save the field .

if possible , if current players ,ex players , supporters of any teams could donate £5 ,£10 or whatever you can afford , we can build a kitty up to keep field up to a standard , we are use to .

the trustees don‘t seem to care about the field , but i do , as do a lot of people in our great village ,so thats why i‘m asking for donations .

once the problem with the trustees is resolved , we will be able to move forward ,and put people in place , who want to look after one of maltby‘s assets ,and keep the field going for our kids , grandkids and great grandkids .

we need to raise as much as possible , to save our field , all monies donated , will be paid in to maltby main juniors account and will only be used to help maintain the field .
