    Story

Tri-4-life Cycles 4 the Caribbean 2018 UK and BVI challenge.

In December 2017 Operation Rudolph lead by Disaster Relief Charity Team Rubicon UK supported by UK Police, with help from donars, delivered over 2000 shoe boxes to children in the British Virgin Islands .

Where Rudolph ended Cycles 4 the Caribbean began with the first delivery of 35 bikes out of 115 donated so far by UK Police for kids in the Caribbean who have lost pretty much everything .

In July 2018 Wirral Triathlete team Tri4life together with UK Police will travel out to the Caribbean on a self funded project to deliver more Cycles 4 Caribbean with hand, power and garden tools.

In 2016 Tri4life delivered 140 bikes donated by UK Police to children in Lesotho Africa , this year the team will do the same for children in the Caribbean who have suffered loss and trauma in the wake of Hurricanes Irma & Maria.

    Tri4life Lesotho Africa Spitfire story

The stories of Commonwealth countries such as Lesotho and Carribean Islands who sacrificed to give hope and support to others in times of great need isn't widely known or remembered.

When Great Britain faced many battles our Commonwealth family shared out of their wealth to help us fight ours and we are now asking you to share to aid them fight their battle to recover and rebuild.

To achieve this we need your help to send the Cycles 4 the Caribbean out in shipping containers from the UK , we have achieved this before and can do this again. We currently have 80 bikes in storage with lots more available and aprox £3000 worth of hand power and garden tools .

There is no shortage of cycles in Police property stores across the UK and the cost to deliver one, to the Carribean together with a helmet lights and a service, to support road safety, is £40 .

Applications to shipping companies for support have been made but so far have been fruitless. Although we have been supplied with shipping costs and we are looking to confirm waiver of any import duties.

A UK wide relay Cycle ride is being planned for the May Bank Holiday weekend 4th to 7th and if you like to take part in that or learn more please see our twitter account @UKpoliceC4TC or we sell tickets UK Police Cycles 4 the Caribbean .

By the third week of June 2018 we plan to send out a container or containers, depending on funds raised, to the Caribbean full of bikes & tools to aid in the recovery of our UK Territories and to support children.

As explained by Commisioner of the RVI Police Mr Matthews, the Tri4life team with UK Police will travel out to Caribbean to deliver on this promise. Whilst in country the team will compete in several events whilst delivering inspiring road shows to children to encourage them to reach their potential.

The Cycles will be donated to the local communities together with the tools for use by those who need their homes repairing and rebuilding.

The more we raise the more we can send .

The final video is one made with three young homeless boys in Antiuga Eli, Blake & Harry from the Island of Barbuda. At the time of interview with them they were living with 150 people in the Sir Viv Richards cricket Stadium .

Please help us deliver these Cycles 4 the Caribbean to these children that have lost everything and help us deliver a message of encouragement hope and support to them.

    Thank You! !
