Swale Community Leisure is a Registered Society and a not-for-profit organisation that reinvests a significant portion of its funds into community projects. As a registered charity, Swale Community Leisure (SCL) intends to make a positive impact on the well-being of the people of Kent and the surrounding areas, as well as to its own employees, members and partners. Our strategy is to work towards making a significant contribution to the intended outcomes of key partners in Sport, Leisure, Health, Education and Community.

Meopham Leisure Centre is a small community facility offering activities for all ages and abilities. It features a fully equipped gym, a versatile 4-court sports hall, and two outdoor floodlit tennis courts. The centre also provides a range of workout classes, including spin classes, yoga, Zumba, and HIIT, as well as children's activities like sports courses and holiday clubs.

Our existing spin bikes have been in operation for 10 years and are well used and loved by our members, and are in urgent need for replacement.

We aim to raise £29,400 to purchase new spin bikes, with each bike costing approximately £1,400. To raise this money, we are hosting 12-hour Spin-a-thon/Family Fun Fest for our members, staff and the local community. In addition our CEO, Dave and our Community Partnership Manager, Ben are also taking on an endurance cycling event. They will be cycling from Folkestone to Meopham to raise money towards the total!

If we reach our target, we pledge to introduce new spin classes, enhancing our offering to our members and the local community along with the launch of junior spin classes.
