    Story

Education in Kenya is supposed to be free however there are many 'charges' required to be paid and finding this money is a constant struggle. It is common for pupils to be sent home from school missing valuable learning time until the outstanding fee is paid.

Across the area of Kambirwa there are many families living in extreme poverty. Most are barely managing to survive on income received from small scale farming. Elderly grandmothers are often left to raise young grandchildren without support.

Roko 20 is a school set up in rural Kenya, to providing an education for very poor and orphaned children via sponsorship.

Having made life changing visits to Roko 20 in 2018 and 2019, its become vital to me that I undertake fundraising challenges to assist the school with their running costs. The school and the people of Kambirwa and Murang'a changed my life and these funds raised can help to change theirs!

The challenge is a self made challenge to complete the 200km Anglesey Coast Path. Starting on May 27th and (hopefully) finishing on May 30th, I will walk/ run the 200km from Menai Bridge around the Island and back to where I started. The challenge is self funded although it has been generously supported by 25 local businesses (listed below)

Absolute Event Bars - Ascona Group - Behind The Lens - Cambrian Electrical - Eddie Rocks - Elite Taxis - Enterprise Cycles - Gardinia Windows & Conservatories - The Green Shed - A D Howells Haulage - JM General Building & Maintenance - Junk Monkey - Manillas - Mobility Shop - OGI - Penfro Pest Control - Peter Williams Building Contractors - Phill Owen Electrical Contractor - PhysioFit - PRISM Financial Management - RSD Recruitment - Roscoe Tree Services - Pembrokeshire Care, Share & Give - The Shipwright - Ty Cyfle

The money raised in this challenge goes directly to the charity and helps to change lives for the better, please give what you can!
