Close your eyes and imagine that you are the lucky one because you have one pair of knickers. Every night before bed, you wash your knickers. Sometimes still damp, you pop them on in the morning and go to school.

You are so lucky because others around you have none. Imagine having no knickers for school!

Did you know that Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world?

Did you know that there are girls in Malawi who don't have even one pair of knickers to their name?

I visited a number of schools in Malawi in October the year and was shocked to learn this.

Inspired by my friend Diana Esho of Your Smalls Appeal, I had taken a bag of knickers to give away. Little did I know that I would be given the biggest hug from the head teacher of the girls school who told me that I had helped solve one of their problems.

I vowed to come home and wiith everyone's help and generosity, collect and send 2000 (two thousand) pairs of knickers to the mama Khadija Girls School.
