I've raised £20000 to be spent on a range of mental health related initiatives in Megan's name that will become her legacy.

Thanks to all of the incredible donations we have altered our target to £20,000! Thanks to everyone for being so generous.
Megan Copeland was a beautiful young woman who lit up a room and made people feel special.
She was a straight A student and was training to be a mental health nurse.
She was loved by her family, her wonderful boyfriend, and pretty much everyone who knew her, but Megan had a secret. Unfortunately she had enduring mental health issues that defied diagnosis.
On the 30th September 2019, aged 20, she took her own life.
We will never know what we could have done differently to change this outcome, however we suspect if we had earlier interventions she may have had a better chance at overcoming the mental hardships and beating her demons.
So .... this is where you come in.
We want to create Megan’s Space. This will be a real and virtual space designed to help youths in a similar situation, and we will use any funds raised to train and provide early intervention and safeguarding resources.
It is too early to say exactly how we will do this, but we promise that not a single penny will be wasted. We will, of course, work with the NHS and trained professionals to ensure we are safe and compliant but not restrained.
Please give generously as we strive for a brighter future for people suffering like Megan, and hopefully we can save a life.
Thank you for reading.
Jenny, Rob, Gary, Hannah, Aaron and Megan Copeland. x
