Story
On the 2nd of December 2017, Bernadette was rushed to hospital by her husband Mark after falling seriously ill at home.
Bernadette suffered an Amniotic Fluid Embolism which is a rare but severely life threatening condition that affects only 1 in 400,000 pregnant woman in the UK. As a result of this, Bernadette’s baby girl Adrianna was stillborn.
Bernadette was then placed in a medically induced coma for two weeks and in this time, received 51 blood transfusions to help keep her alive and fight off this rare life threatening condition.
Bernadette will be left with some devastating injuries and possible disabilities caused by Septicaemia.
Your donations will go towards helping Bernadette come to terms with her injuries, the loss of her child and help towards the financial strain put on the family as Mark has had to give up his work to look after their other two young children.
