Story
I'm raising £2,000 for the Mayor’s Charities and good causes.
These are:
Herts Sports Partnership (Come Together with Sport and Active Recreation);
Stevenage Arts Guild (Come Together with Arts, Music and Culture) and People for People (social inclusion).
How did that happen? I’m running the London Marathon on Sunday 27th April and of course I’m trying to raise some money for the Mayor’s charities.
Yes I’ve found myself with a “Good For Age” entry. Only by a few seconds. It’s not going to be easy so please sponsor me.
Already into week one of the training programme which included a literally freezing cold run at the Hatfield 10K. Oh well. Character building.

Stevenage Postbox Knitters are delighted to support the Mayor's Charities again this year.
Every Christmas, since 2020, many different people have joined in the fun making fluffy snowmen, Christmas trees and lots more beside to decorate some of the postboxes across our town.
The knitters (and those who crochet too!) are delighted that people enjoy seeing the toppers and so invite donations to the different charities as chosen by the Stevenage Mayor each year.
