Story

October 31st 2019 my beautiful husband was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer stage 3 after being treated with acid reflux. A plan was put in place, Chemotherapy and an Ivor Lewis and then more chemotherapy. We were never told that this may not work until the day of Chris' operation in March. Sadly the Ivor Lewis was abandoned and we got the news that no more could be done to help.

We have had such an amazing palliative care team working with us at home and the district nurses have been amazing. The whole team have become part of the family over the last 3 months and we couldn't have asked for better care.

Chris' funeral is on Thursday and due to Covid rules we are only allowed 20 people in the crematorium. Chris didn't want family or friend flowers, and for those who knew Chris very well would understand why. Chris wanted to have a donation made to the St Georges Police Childrens Trust. They help support children during this hard time. Also the Maggie's Centre in Kirkcaldy who have helped a lot with Myself, Ethan and Eden during this very difficult.

Thank You

Love Maxine, Ethan and Eden. XX
