Golf has played a huge part of my sons life from an early age and watching him enjoy his success and development throughout his childhood, this sport has helped him become the person he is today.

For children who have not always had the opportunity to try out golf or have had difficulties during their childhood, the work that the Kendleshire Kids Foundation provide is outstanding and has improved the lives of many young people.

The Kendleshire Kids Foundation’s programme involves the delivery of golf activities, using The Kendleshire Golf Club facilities, by our specialist coaches and one to one mentoring support through our associated company, Youth 8, whose specialist workers deliver important developmental engagement activities, understanding how important youth engagement is for positive future outcomes.

The young people are provided with coaching, mentoring, food, drink, and golf equipment, free of charge, and are rewarded in various ways for their commitment to the programme.

The whole programme is about using golf for the development of young people, ‘Golf for Good’, who have experienced adversity and trauma in their lives by supporting them in building resilience for the future and improve physical health. Empowering the young people by building self- esteem, encouraging teamwork and teaching life skills are all important for their future outcomes.

I would like to support and donate as much as possible for this charity as many of the people associated with the Foundation are a daily part of our lives and are dedicated to increasing the support it provides.

I aim to shave off my hair around the 21st June to hopefully mark the end to this extremely difficult time we have all faced since early 2020. Please dig deep as I have become quite attached to my long hair......I'm going to miss it!
