Matthew John Bull (Matt):

Our son Matt sadly passed away peacefully on Saturday 12th August 2023 at 9.10am – aged just 32 years. Having courageously gone through a heart transplant in February 2023, Matt was making great progress with his recovery until contracting Glandular Fever early in July.

Tragically this virus then developed into Stage 4 Lymphoma, a very aggressive form of cancer for which Matt was receiving care and treatment from the wonderful teams at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

A very bright, witty and caring young man taken way too soon from his family and all who knew and loved him. He lived a full, amazing and inspiring life.

Like many young men, Matt was mad keen on sport particularly football, rugby & golf which he would watch endlessly and quote all of the scores and updates to anyone who cared to listen. However, his real passion was cricket and especially his beloved Cannock Cricket Club for whom he played for many years and will be greatly missed by all.

The aim of our collection is to donate all monies raised to Cannock Cricket Club, who have committed to using the funds in memory of Matt.

Mom Julie, Dad Dave and younger brother Tom request that you please give generously so that Matts memory can live on at his ‘spiritual home’ and benefit the club and the membership that he loved so much.
