Many children in our schools do not have access to to the internet or the use of a computer tablet. This is essential if they are to access school lessons either during self isolation or a further lockdown. Schools are increasingly asking children to access the internet for their learning needs. Those without access are very disadvantaged. I have been raising funds on a small scale locally but it is now time to up the fundraising to meet the demand. To date I have raised over £3,000 which has purchased 60+ tablets for children in one Hackney school where my daughter-in-law works with children with special needs.
