I am Martin Stevens and along with my neighbour Xolani Moyo, we are raising money for Llandegley Community Group to buy a defibrillator and heated cabinet for use by and for the local community. A defibrillator is a machine that is used on someone who suffers a cardiac arrest - you can read more here. We will be seeking a grant from British Heart Foundation to fund the remaining costs.

Do you know that after a cardiac arrest, every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces someone's chance of survival by 10 per cent!

This is something that we believe it is incredibly important! As we know Llandegley is in a rural area and the nearest Accident and Emergency department is 31 miles away!!! So it is vital that we have this life saving equipment to hand.

In order to raise the funds - we will be tackling the 3 peaks challenge in just 24 hours on the 21st June 2018! This mammoth task will be supported with a community BBQ on the 3rd June 2018 all in the name of ensuring that this equipment is in place for when it is needed.
