Hi All. We are collecting for our friend and colleague Martin Garrett. Martin worked for the Council for 21 years and was known by everyone, he touched all our lives in one way or another and was the most caring and helpful person, nothing was too much trouble for him. He was a real people person and will be sadly missed.

Martin was diagnosed with mouth cancer approx. 6 years ago, he fought this and went into remission. Sadly in 2019 the cancer returned and had spread to some of his vital organs. Martin fought this so hard but was hit by so many hurdles. He retired from the Council in early 2020 to try and fight this disease as best he could and spend vital time with his family. Over the last few months his health deteriorated rapidly and he was taken into Hospital last week with Sepsis. Martin sadly passed away on Thursday 6th May 2021 with his family around him.

Our thoughts are with his Wife and Daughter who have supported him through this. We are making this collection to assist his family in this difficult time.
