Weʼve raised £2,410 to raise money to start up a new charity in Mark McCloskey's name. This will fund research into Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP).

Funded on Thursday, 30th March 2017

    Story

Mark McCloskey beloved husband, Son, Brother and Friend died suddenly and unexpectedly recently due to an epileptic seizure. This is known as SUDEP (Sudden unexpected death in epilepsy). The reason this happened to Mark and many other individuals suffering from epilepsy is unknown, and we want to help change this. We want to start up a charity in his name that will fund research into the condition and hopefully prevent further deaths in the future.

The purpose of this page is to raise the funds we need to register as an official charity with the Office of the Scottish Regulator (OSCR) and HMRC in order to claim gift aid relief for donations.

Details of the charity and its official name are currently on going and we will update the page with further information.

Please help us to raise this money in Marks memory and get this charity started so we can help prevent further deaths in future.

Please donate what you can and share where ever possible.Thank you for your kind support.

    Much Love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far. The support has been overwhelming especially at a time of year when your probably all a bit skint. I'm going to meet someone tomorrow who has started and run a charity before, to get a bit of help and advice. Still working on things, so will keep you all updated. Thanks again for the support. It really shows what Mark ment to everyone. Much love xxxx
