Story
In the 12 years i have coached for Curzon Ashton i have seen the club grow in all aspects of football, and i have witnessed first hand behide the scenes, how hard people work to keep a facility like the Tameside stadium going. Many hidden costs, many things going wrong or breaking. The volunteers that run the club work tirelessly all year round to maintain a balance between running a competitive football team and supporting all the community activities that happen that most people wont be aware happen at Curzon on a day to day basis. After 12 years of use the 3G pitch, it is in need of replacing and the club have been set a task to raise a percentage of the money to do it. The club have already set aside an amount to go with the support of the FA we have a short fall of 30,000 which the cub has been set the task to raise.
Any contribution will go into the pot to cover the cost of a brand new playing surface that will allow the Tameside community to carry on playing football at Curzon for the next 12-15 years. On average around 1500 footballers use the pitch with an age range of 3 years old in our development squad to 77 years old in our walking football team.
please spare what you can to help support your local community club.

8 years agoFirst of all a thank you to all who have donated so far. Its amazing that people are willing to support their community and at least know that the money is going to something that will help not only Curzon Ashton players but players from all over the borough. Every Saturday and Sunday of the year the pitch has around 400 boys an girls each day, representing all clubs that play in the excellent East Manchester Junior League. We work endlessly at Curzon to provide football for all and with your support we will continue to do so.
