I've raised £6000 to Support an aspiring racing driver progress towards a career in motor sports

At an early age I developed a passion for Motorsports, developing my skills on Quads and then Motocross bikes. By the age of eight I was participating in Karting championships, demonstrating natural talent and ability and having the opportunity to develop my skills in a competitive environment at Raceland – East Lothian. During my first three years indoors I finished within the top 6, achieving numerous podium positions, I then moved to a larger more challenging outdoor track, again finishing within the top 6, 2017 I achieved 1st Place – Winner of the Raceland Junior Karting Championship! I am now looking to progress my motorsport journey.. taking the next step - saloon car racing. I entered for the JSCC Scholarship and finished 2nd out of 29 competitors – my first experience of saloon cars. My goal is to develop my career in Motorsports, aiming for the BTCC by the age of 21.
Following my successful performance and positive feedback received at the JSCC scholarship event, my family and I discussed the next steps and they decided to support my entry into the 2018 JSCC Championship.. We made a personal commitment to this cause, investing over £10,000 of our own money to secure a race car and cover initial set up costs. However, racing is an expensive sport and the ongoing costs of race entry fees, tyres, petrol and repairs means that we are seeking support to enable me to race throughout my second season - an estimated cost of £1500 per race weekend. I feel I have potential to become a successful racing driver, but without this opportunity to test myself in a competitive environment and learn from instructors and other drivers at this age, I fear that my dream of becoming a professional will never be realised.
I am looking to raise £6000 which will cover 4 race day entries - half the season, seeking support from friends, families and anyone with a desire to see a young man progress in a very competitive and expensive environment. If I could reach 600 people donating just £10 each.. I would reach my goal.
I am hoping you will read this and support my cause.
Thanks
