Since 1 January 2021 a group of WDC stewards and their families started cold water immersion to see if it would assist with mental health. We all found it to be massively benefical with a definative improvement in mood and wellbeing. Whilst we have gained pleasure from the Loch this year we are very aware of the devastation the Loch has brought to too many families this year. The relocation of the rescue boat could save many lives due to the volunteers who man it being able to get to the boat so much faster. During the Summer period when tourism is high with many using Loch Lomond the A82 is grid locked hindering the volunteers getting to Luss losing crucial time getting to the emergency. Members of the group have lost a family member in an accident on Loch Lomond and know the devastation felt by families who have lost someone.

We are having an Event on Sunday 19 december 2021 @ 2pm at Drimkinnon Bay (to the left of Lomond Shores).

We are looking for people to get a minimum of £20 sponsorship to join us dipping in the Loch.

Mulled wine, hot chocolate, tablet and toasted marahmallows will be available when you have braved the cold water. You never know you may enjoy it and benefit from something new !!
