I've raised £5000 to support our Youth Upskill Initiative

To launch Mare Nostrum Group’s Youth Upskill Initiative our team has committed to walking 20 million steps, the approximate distance from our office in Harrogate to Mare Nostrum, the Roman name for the Mediterranean sea, from which the company took its name.
To ensure that the team reaches this ambitious goal, we’ll not only be counting our daily steps but we’ll also be taking on two gruelling challenges:
1. Leeds 10k Run in July
2. Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge in September
The goal of the Youth Upskill Initiative is to help children gain the confidence and skills to assist their progress in education, work, and life. We will be supporting this goal through fundraising volunteer and pro bono contributions.
Our fundraising goal this year is to raise £5,000 by the Frankfurt Book Fair, which takes place in October 2022. Funds raised will be divided equally between our two charity partners:
Career Ready partners with employers and educators across the UK to invest in young people from diverse backgrounds. Its mission is to boost social mobility by empowering young people and giving their talents a platform to flourish.
The Speakers Trust aims to unlock the potential of young people, by building their confidence and improving their ability to express themselves verbally. Via their school based workshops, The Speakers Trust helps some of the most disadvantaged children in the UK build their communication skills.
Please give generously and help us support our Youth Upskill Initiative. As our step-o-meter count starts to rise, we’ll keep you updated with where we’ve reached on our virtual journey across Europe, until we reach our final destination of Mare Nostrum.
