Winsford Community Groceries kindly provide additional support to local families with the provision of essential household items and toys, an excellent contribution to an awesome community, made even more special during the festive period.

The Salvation Army are also working hard to provide for families this Christmas, by appealing for new toys which can be wrapped and placed under the trees of local children who may have been hit hard by the pandemic.

Following a difficult year, and with Grassroots football being delayed due to Covid-19, local youth football club Winsford Diamonds FC would like to remain active whilst also helping the local community. Our aim is to raise as much money as possible for Winsford Community Groceries & the Salvation Army; funds raised will be split and contribute towards providing essential items like food, laundry items, clothing and children's toys.

The CHALLENGE:

For each Winsford Diamonds FC team to run/walk as a team effort from Winsford to Wembley Stadium and BACK!! A distance totalling 570 km!! Players/coaches/parents weekly totals will be combined for each team until to target distance is reached. All teams must be back in the home of football 'Winsford' by 2 December or before........if speedy enough!!
