As a thank to our local NHS staff, we have decided to do something for the local community and contribute our interior design services to support the key workers at John Radcliffe Hospital. At least 80% of the hospital relies on the Radiology Department and as their staff room has not been decorated in over 20 years, it has been agreed that this is an area we could focus on improving.

We are now actively raising funds for furniture and materials we need to complete this challenge. We would like to provide staff with a calming and holistic environment to relax in. They get very little time to take a break on their shifts and it would be wonderful if, when they do, it's in a restorative environment and somewhere that provides them with a lovely contrast to the usual medical environments they work in. We've been told a total of 200 staff have access to this staff area, so it's a truly worthy cause.

We have been able to secure window treatments, paint, wallpaper and fabrics from some of our generous suppliers, but we would love to raise enough funds to replace the dining tables and chairs, add some recliner chairs for the staff to relax between long shifts through the night, provide shelving units with plenty of books, lots of plants to enhance and purify the atmosphere, and lastly new sofas which are comfortable and durable.

We estimate that we will need a minimum of £15,000 for this, but if we are able to raise more, we could extend our offering to another staff room in the hospital or give the remaining balance as a monetary donation to use where they feel best.

All services will be completely voluntary and we will try to source as much as we can from local businesses where possible. If you are a local business who would like to contribute items for this good cause, please get in touch with us.
