We've put together a team at Maitri Studio to run the Belfast marathon relay 2025! We've chosen two local charities to support, reflecting our wish to extend 'maitri' = universal friendship & loving-kindness to all.

Anaka Women's Collective is run in partnership with PPR Belfast and are led predominantly by women with direct experience of the UK’s hostile immigration system. They aim to welcome and support women and their families who are new to Belfast. These strong, heart-led women empower each other, create community and foster a sense of belonging. They are a collectively managed project that values co-operation and mutual aid. We are specifically raising money for bus passes that will support women to access classes and workshops. We're running to provide transport options!

Larder>East is a community food hub that uses social pricing to make sure everyone in East Belfast can have a seat at the table and a cupboard full of good food. Through membership, volunteers and donations they create a space for people to meet, to grow, buy and share food and to learn together. We're running to help fuel other people's needs!

FUNDRAISING DETAILS

These two charities are small and do not use these fundraising platforms so we are collecting to a personal bank account from where we will split the money. We have not been able to find a donation platform where this is possible. Unfortunately this means we cannot process Gift Aid. At the end of the fundraising process we will have a clear record of what money has been raised and will be able to show the transfers to these charities.
