According to IOM and UNHCR estimates, around one million migrants and refugees arrived in Europe till 21 December 2015, accelerating the refugee crisis.

The crisis remains on going in the UK with 121,837​ refugees, 40,365​ pending asylum cases and 97 stateless persons in the UK. Individuals have overcome harrowing obstacles in the attempt to build better lives away from wars, unjust persecution and authoritarian rule yet they continue to be received negatively and resented by masses in the community, aggressively bullied in school, seen as a threat to our society.
