Maeve Austin and Amalia Colosi are aiming to raise £3000 to help fund our two week trip to Warsaw, Poland with Gap Medics in July 2017.

In Warsaw we will be doing work experience in the hospital with an aim to gain as much medical work experience as possible by shadowing health care professionals in a number of different departments. Medical work experience like this is not currently available for students at our stage in the UK; Gap Medics allows us to explore the inner workings of a hospital and explore different areas of medicine and health care including peadiatrics, surgery, obstetrics, internal medicine and many others. Having an experience like this is extremely valuable and will help us both in our pursuit to follow careers in health care. The two week placement in Warsaw is a fantastic opportunity for us to meet health care professionals, experience a working hospital environment and spend time with people who have the same interests and ambitions as we do.
