I've raised £1250 to support Amy's trip to Madagascar 2023

Did you know that 91% of people in Madagascar earn less that £1.48 a day according to the World Health Organisation and also 95% of reptiles, 89% of plant life and 92% of mammals found in Madagascar can only be found there. Due to the low levels of income the local population use resources available to them to support their families putting some of the endangered species at risk.
I am proud and very fortunate to have been selected as a representative of Girl Guiding North West England, to be a member of a group going to Madagascar in summer 2023. Once I have completed my Alevels I will be travelling to Madagascar to support a charity called SEED (sustainable environment, education and development). SEED survey and monitor the endangered plants and animals that live in Madagascar and work with local communities to provide education that will support the local community.
There was a competitive selection process to gain a place on this trip. I had to complete an application form and them was short listed to be 1 of 90 people I the whole of North West England to attend a selection weekend. This was a residential weekend in Clithero where we had to undertake a number of challenges. Following this I was selected to be 1 of 10 Rangers (girl guides aged 16-18) to volunteer on this project. I am the only Ranger that has been selected from the Congleton area.
In order for me to attend this trip I need to raise £2600 approximately through fundraising. I intend to hold coffe mornings and other fundraising activities over the next 12months to support funding this expedition.
I have been approached and asked to set up a just giving page to enable those wishing to support me to donate to towards my expedition.
