Macmerry Miners Club is the heart of the community and an asset to the village.

Macmerry Miners Committee are reaching out to local residents and businesses to help raise funds for a full heating upgrade and to carry out many other much needed repairs. The heating system is no longer fit for purpose and needs renewed as it does not provide any heat in some areas of the building. The roof is leaking and in a poor state of repair. This social hub hosts fitness and dance classes, dominoes and pool nights, private functions and is the venue for many Gala family nights. Without this refurbishment many of these events will no longer be able to take place. The committee are in the process of applying for funding/grants to go towards and cover the costs of some of these repairs but are looking to raise the rest of the money through donations and by holding a variety of fundraising events.
