I've raised £5000 to help 2 causes; You Are Not Alone, who provide rural mental health support, and The Sir Tom Cowie Charitable Trust, 'Coats for Kids'.

Lycetts have decided that this year we will take part in the Movember challenge. One month of a growth was clearly not enough for us however, with our start date being 14th October, Lycetts 60th anniversary party. It made sense to start the event on this date given that a large number of those involved in the event will be in the same place, meaning we can have a proper launch, including pictures of freshly shaven faces, ready for the month and a half challenge.
There are to be prizes for best growth, best style, and a wooden spoon for the worst effort. The prizes will be decided by an unbiased judging panel, and we will share pictures of the winners.
We have chosen to focus on two charities, rather than just one. These initiatives are very close to us as a company, and also as individuals.
The charity You Are Not Alone focuses on helping those with mental health issues within the rural community. Unfortunately we are all too aware that members of the rural community are very susceptible to this problem, with it being all to easy to feel isolated, depressed or unable to cope.
Our second chosen charity is that of The Sir Tom Cowie Trust, more specifically their 'Coats for Kids' initiative. The project was set up in 2018 to provide coats to children who sadly did not have suitable outdoor clothing.
