I've raised £1019 to get Luke to the World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia in 2019

Luke was recently selected to represent Tunbridge Wells and Kent Scouts at the World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia, America in 2019. This is Luke, below, on the left, featured in his local paper.
Here's his story...
This is an amazing opportunity and I’m so proud to be an ambassador for Tunbridge Wells and Kent scouts. I would love to visit America as it would be a great opportunity for me to experience scouting in a different continent! I have never been to America and to go with the scouts would be amazing. The theme for the Jamboree is about unlocking a new world and scouting has already allowed me to unlock many experiences and adventures. I love a challenge and have done many awesome activities over my 9 years in scouting but going to the world’s largest Jamboree in America would give me a once in a lifetime experience.
Travelling to America will build my character, boost my confidence and allow me to try new challenges and learn what the scouts of America are like. Hopefully a trip like this will allow me to do even more exciting and adventurous things both with the scouts and beyond. Having been a Beaver, Cub, Scout, and now Explorer shows how much I love the scouting network and scouting has shown me the value of working hard and to not quit even when things get tough; but most importantly scouting has been about making friends and meeting lots of new and interesting people. I would be thrilled to carry on meeting new people from so many different backgrounds in America and getting to know them and their cultures better.
I now need to raise £2019 to help me get to the USA in 2019! At the moment I’m washing cars and selling cakes and hot dogs and planning quizzes to help raise some of the money I need, however if you were able to provide any additional contribution I would be hugely grateful.
